Proactive Pet Health covers the health and behavior of companion animals with the rigor and care that good health journalism brings to its human subjects: methodical, well-sourced, and appropriately skeptical of whichever trend happens to be dominating the conversation. We are editorially independent. Advertising on our site is always clearly labeled as such, and we do not accept product gifts or sponsorships from the companies we cover.

Stories are edited by working veterinarians and science journalists. Every clinical claim is reviewed by a licensed DVM before publication. Corrections are issued openly, dated, and linked from the original piece.
